The Anglican Trust for Women & Children (ATWC) is a multi-disciplinary Social Services organisation with over one hundred and sixty years of service to families in our community. Based in Otahuhu, the Granger Grove Residential Parenting Programme is a comprehensive long term therapeutic programme, which enables mothers to make a fresh start in a secure supportive environment.
Mō te tūnga | About the role
We are looking for a dynamic and skilled qualified Social Worker to provide intensive therapeutic social work support as part of our Residential Parenting Programme. You must have a good understanding of working with families/whānau who have high and complex needs and have often experienced significant trauma, abuse, and neglect.
This is a 1-year fixed term contract but may develop in to permanent in the future.
This role is eligible for Social Work Pay Equity, is based on experience and working 37.5 hours per week.
Mōu | About you
- Social Work Registration with at least 3 years’ experience
- Experience in working with complex family systems
- Deliver effective trauma informed care that supports
- Ability to assess risk and make informed decisions regarding child safety and well-being.
- Resilient, solutions focused and adaptable
- Experience in teamwork, networking, collaboration and establishing and maintaining strong inter agency relationships
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Current Driver Licence
