Otahuhu Intermediate boost our food bank

Here at ATWC we run a small food bank for the families that we work with who need extra help. It is completely reliant on donations and unfortunately the food bank has been running low in recent weeks.

One of our Social Workers in Schools (SWiS), Lauren Bartley, organised a mufti day at Otahuhu Intermediate School to raise donations for the food bank. She had an overwhelming response, with every single student bringing something to donate. A whopping 350 cans, jars and packaged food!

We would like to say a huge THANK YOU to all the families that were willing to donate to the work of ATWC. Lauren has also contacted Fresh Choice Otahuhu to see if they will match the donation … watch this space!

There are many ways to help with the work of ATWC, we constantly need donations of food for our food bank, and clothing for clients and our two Op Shops … there are also many ways to volunteer your time. If you are interested in being involved please email [email protected] or give us a call on 09 276 3729.
