We are seeking an experienced and values-driven Practice Manager – Community Support to lead and develop services that strengthen whānau wellbeing and engagement across the communities we serve. This is an exciting opportunity for a proven leader who is passionate about community development, culturally responsive practice, and making a real difference for tamariki and whānau.
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring high-quality service delivery across your portfolio, supporting and developing multidisciplinary teams, and working in partnership with the Service Delivery Manager to identify opportunities for service growth and innovation. You will also collaborate closely with the Engagement and Communications team to foster strong, meaningful relationships with ATWC donors, partners, and stakeholders.

About the Role
As Practice Manager – Community Support, you will:
- Lead and develop services that enhance whānau wellbeing and community engagement
- Ensure high-quality, culturally responsive, and trauma-informed service delivery
- Partner with the Service Delivery Manager to identify internal and external service growth opportunities
- Support staff development through coaching, supervision, and learning opportunities
- Use data and evidence to drive continuous improvement and service effectiveness
- Maintain strong relationships with donors, partners, and community stakeholders
- Represent ATWC professionally in community forums and stakeholder engagements
- Ensure contract and reporting requirements are met with accuracy and integrity
What We’re Looking For
Qualifications
- A qualification in Social Work or a related discipline
Experience
- Proven experience leading multidisciplinary teams
- Demonstrated ability to develop and manage culturally responsive services
- Experience in service design, performance monitoring, and continuous improvement
- Strong background in stakeholder engagement, including working with donors, partners, and community groups
- Interest or experience in community development concepts
Skills
- Strong relationship-building skills across diverse teams and communities
- Effective leadership and staff development capabilities, including coaching and supervision
- Ability to use data and insights to inform decision-making and improve outcomes
- Skilled in project coordination, collaboration, and problem-solving
