We are seeking a dedicated Social Worker to join ATWC’s Granger Grove team. In this role, you will provide essential social work services to vulnerable children, young mothers, and families, supporting their wellbeing, empowerment, and integration into the community. About the Role

As Granger Grove Social Worker, you will:

  • Provide social work support to vulnerable children, young mothers, and families
  • Conduct child-centred assessments to identify strengths, needs, and interventions
  • Build trusting relationships with tamariki, whānau, and their support networks
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues, agencies, and community services
  • Prepare accurate reports and maintain professional case documentation
  • Advocate for families and connect them with appropriate services
  • Support families’ transitions toward independence and community integration

What We’re Looking For

Qualifications

  • NZ-recognised Social Work qualification (Bachelor’s degree)
  • Current Social Work registration
  • Full NZ Driver’s Licence

Skills and Experience

  • Minimum five years’ social work experience with families, ideally in care and protection
  • Experience in non-governmental organisations
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Competent with Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to manage a busy caseload and prioritise effectively
