Social Worker – Social Worker in Schools (SWIS)

We are seeking a passionate, self-motivated Social Worker to join our supportive and dynamic SWIS team. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity (37.5 hours per week) for a culturally aware and relationship-centred practitioner.


About Us

The Anglican Trust for Women & Children (ATWC) is a well-established charitable trust with over 160 years of service to families in our community. Guided by the values of Hope and Aroha, Compassion and Respect, Whanaungatanga, Stewardship, Integrity, and Professionalism, ATWC is a leading provider of the Social Workers in Schools (SWIS) programme across Auckland.


About the Role

You will join a team of qualified, registered social workers who work alongside students and whānau to address barriers that may impact education, wellbeing, and engagement.

This role is eligible for Social Work Pay Equity at a pro-rata rate based on a 37.5-hour working week. You will be part of a dynamic team that values cultural competence, solution-focused practice, and strong whanaungatanga.


What We’re Looking For

To apply, you must:

  • Hold a recognised Social Work qualification

  • Be registered with the Social Workers Registration Board (SWRB)

  • Hold a current Annual Practising Certificate

  • Possess excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Hold a full New Zealand driver’s licence

  • Have strong computer skills

  • Be legally entitled to work in New Zealand
