Strengthen Engagement | Support Tamariki | Champion ATWC’s Story
The Engagement and Communications Coordinator will strengthen ATWC’s fundraising and communications capability by providing structured support across grants, donor engagement, content development, and design coordination. Working closely with the Engagement & Communications Manager, you will help deliver ATWC’s stories, funding applications, and communications with clarity, consistency, and professionalism while upholding the organisation’s mission, values, and kaupapa. You will contribute to high-quality written content, assist with fundraising initiatives, and support the development of visual materials, maintaining organised workflows and timely project delivery.

About the Role
As Engagement and Communications Coordinator, you will:

Provide reliable support for grants, donor engagement, content creation, and design coordination

Assist in crafting clear, consistent, and professional communications and funding applications

Support the development of high-quality written and visual content
-
Maintain organised workflows and ensure timely project delivery

Collaborate with the Engagement & Communications Manager and wider team to strengthen community engagement
About You
As Engagement and Communications Coordinator, you should be:

Naturally curious, creative, and detail-oriented

Comfortable working across multiple tasks and learning new tools

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Organised and able to manage competing priorities and deadlines

Culturally aware and able to engage respectfully with diverse communities

Motivated by kaupapa-led work and making a positive difference for tamariki, whānau, and the wider community
What We’re Looking For:
Qualifications
-
Tertiary qualification in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Design, Public Relations, or a related discipline; or
-
Equivalent practical experience in a communications or fundraising support role
Skills and Experience

Strong writing and verbal communication, producing clear, audience-appropriate content
-
Organisational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines
-
Attention to detail in written and visual materials
-
Ability to gather information from multiple stakeholders and translate into compelling content
-
Competence in Microsoft Office and standard digital collaboration tools

Knowledge of brand guidelines and maintaining visual consistency
