St Mary’s Preschool is seeking kind, reliable volunteers to join our team as a Preschool Volunteer. This rewarding role helps children enjoy their day, feel safe, and engage fully in our early learning programme.
About Us
ATWC (Anglican Trust for Women & Children) is a well-established Charitable Trust with over 160 years of service to families in our community. Guided by the values of Aroha, Whakawhanaungatanga, Kaitiakitanga, Māiatanga, Tumanako, we deliver multi-disciplinary services that empower tamariki and whānau across Auckland.
About the Role
As a Preschool Volunteer, you will:

Prepare and serve lunches, ensuring food safety and hygiene

Assist with van transport, helping children board safely and use seat belts

Supervise and support children during the ride, ensuring comfort and positive behaviour
-
Engage with children during activities such as reading or play
-
Create a warm, welcoming, and reassuring environment for tamariki
What We’re Looking For
To succeed in this role, you will:

Enjoy working with young children

Be friendly, dependable, and patient
-
Be willing to commit to a regular schedule (flexible hours available)

Complete Police vetting/background check
-
Have a big heart and a willingness to help (no prior experience required)
