Senior Social Worker – Residential Parenting Programme

The Anglican Trust for Women & Children (ATWC) is a multi-disciplinary Social Services
organisation. With over a hundred and sixty years of service to families in our community,
we are offering a fantastic full-time opportunity for a qualified and experienced Social
Worker to provide intensive social work support as part of our Residential Parenting
Programme. If you have the passion and desire to make a difference in the lives of children and their

Mō te tūnga | About the role

Granger Grove is a three-stage residential parenting programme, designed to provide
holistic support to mothers and babies. The programme fosters resilience while developing
evidence-based parenting skills and tailored pathways to recovery. The work that our staff
engage in is challenging but also incredibly rewarding as they get to walk alongside whānau
on their journey’s.

 

Mōu | About you

 

To be successful in this role, you must have a sound understanding of Te Tiriti O Waitangi, be
able to work with whānau with high and complex needs, be solution focused and able to
hold hope in challenging situations, able to work from a strength based, trauma informed
lens.

Additionally, you will have:
• Social Work qualification
• Social Work Registration
• At least 2 years’ experience
• Experience in working with complex family systems
• Understanding of attachment theory
• Experience in teamwork, networking, collaboration and establishing and maintaining
strong inter agency relationships
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Current Full- driver’s license
