Mō te tūnga | About the opportunity 

The Psychotherapist/Child Psychotherapist provides high-quality, evidence-based psychotherapy and counselling services to vulnerable children, adolescents, and families, with a strong focus on trauma-informed care, cultural competency, and holistic approaches. This role involves conducting comprehensive assessments, developing personalised treatment plans, and delivering both individual and family therapy sessions.

We are seeking the services of a Psychotherapist/Child Psychotherapist in a contract capacity until 30 June 2025 for 15 hours over 2 days per week. This will include fact to face client time, case noting and administration.  The hourly rate will be dependent on experience and the funding that we receive.

Mōu | About you 

  • You will be a registered Psychotherapist or eligible for registration.
  • You will have experience in working with tamariki and whanau who have experienced trauma particularly Māori and Pacifica.
  • Preferably you will have experience or understanding of working in a contracting role.
