Practice Manager – Social Workers in Schools

We need a Practice Manager to lead, develop and grow a team of amazing social workers!!

This is an exciting new opportunity to enhance your management skills.  You will lead a team of dynamic social workers, be responsible for developing strong relationships within the Auckland educational and social service sector and be an integral part of a strong team of five SWiS Practice Managers.

This management position reports to the Service Delivery Manager and is located within a wider social work management team.

The person we are looking for will have:

  • A relevant social work undergraduate or Master’s degree
  • At least two years’ experience in a management/supervisory role or have been in a position where effectiveness is achieved through proven leadership and managing people and relationships.
  • Demonstrate an ability to work positively within a wider management team
  • Demonstrate a commitment to developing a strong and cohesive team of social workers
  • Knowledge of working within a school-based environment
  • Supervision qualification, knowledge and demonstrated experience in providing social work supervision
  • Be a strong communicator and have excellent writing skills
  • Will be Social Work registered
